What are "Swim Buddies"?

What are “Swim Buddies” and why do we have them?

“Swim Buddies” are when an older swimmer is paired with a younger swimmer, to support one another.  We have these to help unify the team, create a positive atmosphere, and help encourage camaraderie between the different age groups. 

How do we know who our “Swim Buddies” are?

Swim buddies are randomly selected and assigned at the “Blowout”.  You will also receive a “Swim Buddy” Information Sheet in your family folder with the name, age and a few other fun facts about your buddy.

What is the “Swim Buddy” Information Sheet?

It is a simple form that each swimmer will fill out and be given to their buddy so they know their name, age, and a few fun facts about them.

What should we do for our “Swim Buddies”?

This is as simple as visiting their age group tent, saying good luck, making a card or sign , bringing them a Gatorade, favorite snack or any other inexpensive goodies, cheering for them during an event or anything else that makes them feel special.
